To celebrate our Guild’s 30th anniversary in 2019, we’re planning to bring our storytellers into schools to introduce students to the art of storytelling. To help us prepare, we’ve asked one of our seasoned children’s storytellers, Shoshana Litman, to provide a workshop on storytelling in schools.
Participants will have access to the guild’s library, The Root Cellar, as well as expert guidance to help choose stories for children of various ages, practice techniques that makes stories work, explore ways to maintain student interest and learn how to bring listeners back on track if needed. This workshop is free to Guild members and is available to any member who is interested in telling to children whether they want to participate in the schools project or not.
