Our Mission

The Mission of the Victoria Storytellers' Guild Society

The purposes of the society are:

Storytelling encourages the participation of all the peoples of the Greater Victoria area by promoting storytelling as a common root of our differing cultures
  1. To promote and further develop storytelling as an art form by providing services to storytellers and to the general public in the Greater Victoria area.
  2. To provide a pathway to financial assistance for storytelling projects and productions.
  3. To facilitate communication among local storytellers.
  4. To encourage the participation of all the peoples of the Greater Victoria area by promoting storytelling as a common root of our differing cultures.

As we listen to each other and tell to each other, we learn better how to do both; how to improve our craft.
